You should check with your local licensing office to find out what you need to do to be licensed to operate your home business.  Each state and county are different.  There isn't a way for us to know about each of those requirements.  We are a registered Seller of Travel in the state of California. Washington, Florida and Iowa.  Our CA Seller ID number is 2054922-40.  Our Washington state license number is 602 327 942.  Our Florida ID number is ST35992.

Once your insurance and contract is received, you will be given access to the website for Dugan's agents only. The information to get you started including forms. You will be given passwords to websites and other information only my agents are given. We do everything online to get you started so no mailing costs or time.   All information is sent to you via email and you get access as soon as we get you set up.

$130 PAYMENT IS NON REFUNDABLE.

Anyone involved in your business must be be put on the insurance.  If you are working with a partner or family member, they must be pay the $130 also.  Each agent is covered under the policy under names.  You can't have anyone involved in the travel business who is not put on the insurance.

The agency works on the honor system in many ways. As long as you are a team player, have patience and can work well with others- you are welcome to join us. If you are unhappy and like to cause problems, we won't work with you. We have had some rather unpleasant experiences in the past and would like to keep this a positive environment. We don't expect you to be perfect and we want you to not expect perfection from anyone else. We all work as hard as we can and we are constantly changing to make things better. Everyone helps the agency some how either by helping new agents or giving lessons on things they know.

You do what you want with your business. We give you the opportunity and you decide what to make with it.

Requirements are:

#1
You need to be able to read emails regularly. If you are someone who checks their email once in a blue moon- your email will be filled up from emails from the agency. You need to be able to check emails for this to work. We give out a lot of information in emails.

#2
You need to have the efax program downloaded.  It is free to download.  Go to
www.efax.com to download it.  You do not have to sign up to get an efax number- just have the program so you can view our faxes.

#3
You need to be able to put some time into your business. We get a lot of people who want to be agents but don't want to put any time into it. They tell me they are too busy with other things to read the information I provide or to learn things.

#4
You need to be willing to do research. Many times you will need to look via the internet or call suppliers to get information. A good agent is willing to venture off on her/his own and try to find answers.

#5
You have to have the desire to learn and work at your business. You can't expect to learn things unless you try. Agents that have not done well are the ones you won't take the leap into trying new things.

#6
You need to keep in touch with us. If things change for you or something comes up- We like to know. Even if it that you decide this isn't right for you.

#7
You will go through a new agent orientation in order to start making bookings. You must go through it first before making bookings.  Those with experience can contact me if they have something to book right away.  There is an agent who will also make your bookings for you and you can split the commission if you need to book something before you complete your training.

#8
You must make at least 1 booking in the first 6 months. If you cannot, you need to speak to us one on one so we can decide if we should continue the relationship. If after 6 months you have not made one booking, you will be removed from the chatlist and considered inactive.

#9
You need to get along with others and be courteous to other agents. If you attack others and are difficult to work with, your contract will be terminated. It seems silly to have this but we have had some bad experiences with people in the past.

#10  We reserve the right to do a background check on anyone who joins the agency.  If you are found to have a criminal record, we will terminate you.

Your $130 WILL NOT be refunded, but you will no longer be considered part of the group of agents.

If you decide you do want to join us, then print and sign the contract on the website. It needs to be sent to us either with a check at

Dugan's Travels
7820 Enchanted Hills Blvd Suite A-249
Rio Rancho, NM 87124
Or faxed to 505-867-4947

You can also pay for your $130 with a credit card using PayPal or add credit card with expiration and billing address to the contract. Checks should be  payable to Dugan's Travels.  Our Paypal account is payments@duganstravels.com

The training does not take long to complete.  Many people get it done in only a week or so time.  Others do take longer, but if you have some time to devote to it, you can get it done rather quickly.
